Thanks man. I know you work with lots of spiritual authors. It's kind of cool to think about a genre of spiritual lesson oriented fiction. One of my favorite genre's is to read the biographies of great beings. Extending it to fiction could be a really cool creative expression!
That would be a cool niche genre. Some truths are so transcendent that we can only glimpse them through story. That's why most holy books rely on parables and mythology.
This was an incredible read. The format is fascinating - and the conversation deeply resonates. I was actually sad to get to the end and wanted it to keep going.
I'm not sure if you've come across Andy Weir poem The Egg, but I couldnt help but see them similarties. Hope you enjoy this video by kurtzgesagt visualising it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6fcK_fRYaI
This is great, Scott. Thanks for taking a chance with something different and posting. Have you done any work with past life regression therapy? I just came across it and it seems like the experiences match up across many of those who explore it. Anyways your piece reminded me a lot of some of those stories. Hope you have a great week ahead!!
Thanks Bodhi! I have not done that particular therapy, but have had similar experiences through other modalities. It's far out stuff! Glad it seems to help some ppl
Thanks Scott. I am still so new. Here is the link to my post. I will get more sophisticated soon. I appreciate your response. All the best on your new addition/edition. LOL. :-)
Hello Scott, interesting perspective. It strikes me in a significant way for many reasons. I am new to Substack, actually as of early this morning. I wrote a piece called "How and Why?", I would love for you to read it and give me your thoughts. Thank you for sharing of yourself and for embracing one.
Thanks Robert! Appreciate you support. Why don't you share the link here and I'll try to check it out when I can. I recently had a newborn so not a ton of bandwidth at the moment
Scott, I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one that has conversations back and forth in my head. I've written recently about conversations with the unconscious, and it sounds a very similar to what you're tapping into here. I love the flow and the nature of the words. I particularly enjoyed the conversation around time. Especially the idea that time is part of what creates meaning because it does not last. And that's exactly why we savour it. Would love to see more posts like this!
Thanks Renee! Are you familiar with internal family systems? It’s a very cool modality that is basically about dialoging with parts of the unconscious.
Oh wow that sounds very cool. I haven’t heard of internal family systems but I’ll look it up. I started ‘talking’ with the unconscious after I started reading some of CG Jung’s collected works. I’ve been able to talk with all these parts of myself that I didn’t know existed but apparently needed to be heard. Have you explored internal family systems or something similar?
Thanks for sharing this. It’s interesting how much truth resonates through the story. What helps get you best into flow and access your creativity and knowledge? Meditation and solitude has been essential for me.
Thanks man! I usually write in the am after some meditating. I do a warm up with morning pages, say a prayer/invocation, and then just let it fly out. I really love the process! I find it exhilirating
Thanks Patricia! My experience had a healthy influence on it. It's amazing how at the highest levels are journeys can be similar, while at the same time incredibly unique
Thanks Derek! I felt the urge to write this on a Saturday and it just flowed out rather quickly. All credit goes to the benevolent forces that show up and just come through me : )
Very nice piece, Scott. This format makes it easier to share certain truths in a simpler way.
Thanks Bruce! As a fellow writer, it's also just fun to flex this muscle. I definitely intend to do it more often : )
This is a great concept, Scott! We need new stories and mythologies with spiritual grounding that resonate with modern people.

Thanks Ross! It was fun for me too. It felt pretty natural to write a story. I think I'll be doing more! Hopefully part 2 coming soon : )

I sure like to see this conversation happen when it isn't me having it.
Nicely done.
Thanks man! I'm glad it resonates : )
.Nice
“Love is the strongest sword” so spot on. Wish more people would understand this. Great read 😊
Thanks Majorie! It is what I have also come to see is true
This piece resonated with my own experience in life and of conversations with my higher self.
Well written and thank you for sharing.

Quite brilliant Scott.
