Hey all - Conscious Accomplishment is now available on Audible and Amazon!
I did the reading myself because I enjoy audio books much more when the author reads it.
Recording an audio book was an experience. I spent a week hunkered down in a home recording studio here in Austin. Each day I’d show up and we’d try to crank through 50-60 pages, before my voice would start to croak.
I never really had much appreciation for voice talent until this experience. Bringing the gusto and modulation when you’re sitting in a little room by yourself for an entire movie or book isn’t easy. It requires sustained focus and preparation. I get why Disney pays voice actors the big bucks.
Here’s a pic of me holding it down.
On a separate note, last week I did a full breakdown of the first week of my book launch on all the sales numbers, launch marketing strategies, and learning from the launch.
I used to love writing these marketing / growth hack type posts back in my online marketing days.
Flexing this muscle from a new perspective was fun for me. It’s also a good demonstration of one of the big ideas in Conscious Accomplishment - you don’t lose any of the capacities you once had as you prioritize awareness and transformation.
As awareness expands, your new understanding evolves the ways you approach things and unlocks new capabilities. With this development, you can still summon previous faculties and ways of being as needed.
Here’s a graphic from Conscious Accomplishment that illustrates how as your surface area of understanding grows, the repetoire of capacities you can pull from becomes larger.
Another interesting thing that happens with this development is that many tools that were once core to your approach, may no longer be required…for example, you may no longer need to grit it out to make things happen. But that doesn’t mean you lose access to the ability to grind if you need to.
Have a great week ya’ll,
-Scott
Congratulations Scott! Love the "accomplishment" graphic.
