About 5.5 years ago I was pretty burnt out from my startup.
My interest in my consciousness evolution really started to started take off and I wasn’t really sure how it jibed with my existence.
My co-founder recommended the 15 Commitments of Consciousness Leadership and in my desperation to move through the confusion, I decided to give it a whirl.
From the minute I started reading the book, I couldn’t put it down.
So many of the ideas and concepts were illuminating things in my experience that I didn’t really have the words to articulate.
Since then I’ve been a huge advocate of Conscious Leadership and all the work that the creators of the book the Conscious Leadership Group (CLG) does.
Today I have the great honor of hosting Diana Chapman on the show.
Diana is one of the founding Partner’s of CLG and authors of the 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership.
I have admired Diana and her work for a long time. Whenever anyone asks me about connecting the consciousness journey to the business world, my default answer is to point people to the Conscious Leadership Group.
They have a beautiful ability to translate concepts that pull from deep wisdom into the business world in a way that enhances connection, creativity, and engagement.
One of the reasons I am so passionate about this is that I have lived on both sides of the coin.
This juxtaposition has helped me see that there is a path where business can help us see ourselves and reality more clearly. We can work with this to create more a harmonious relationship with ourselves and the world around us.
I personally found this conversation with Diana to be quite juicy and insightful.
Minutes before the show I learned that Diana had recently decided to step down from the day to day operations at Conscious Leadership Group to move on to her next adventure.
We kicked off the conversation discussing this decision and how she is moving through the liminal space of what’s next.
Other things we discussed include how we can think about transforming our workplace into a place that promotes awareness, openness, and play.
I found there to be some really amazing nuggets in here that I plan to explore more deeply in my own pursuits.
Additional highlights:
Tapping into the body’s intelligence and how trust can build over time
Diana’s story of starting the Conscious Leadership group
How the next generation of leaders demands a different work experience
The benefits of making consciousness a focal point at your company
The power of infusing play into your work and rhythms
Approaches to creating drama free teams and how you can design a game that avoids drama
Why when we shift the field we play in, things shift automatically
How to create space for more creative energy and intelligence
Why conscious leadership must start top down
If you’re in business and haven’t read the 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership, I can’t recommend it enough.
Diana also shares a preview of their new book in this conversation which comes out next year.
As for what’s next, Diana is looking to connect with influential leaders who seek to inspire change in the world. You can learn more and how you can help in our conversation!
Much love,
-Scott
