What if learning who we are creates a more fulfilling life than getting what we want?
I heard this question posed on a podcast with today’s guest and it pretty much sums up the entirety of my experience over the past few years.
All the accolades, fancy trips, and stuff I have accumulated over the past decades are cool, but don’t really hold a candle to the riches that have come from the journey of Self discovery.
Today’s guest is Joe Hudson, founder of The Art of Accomplishment (AOA) platform and executive coach.
If you aren’t familiar with AOA they’re awesome. If I were buying stock of people sharing ideas on the internet, I’d be investing heavily in them as they represent a future paradigm shift that brings together consciousness work and enjoyably creating in the world. This combination of helping people get shit down while improving the relationship with their deeper essence, is not only what the world needs right now, but also just happens to result in the best outcomes in my experience. It’s pretty much what' I’m trying to do myself!
A lot of people think Self discovery and spiritual growth are limited to the meditation cushion or some “spiritual” setting.
When you have the right tools and understanding, everyday life, including business activities can be the ultimate tool for expanding awareness and reaching greater depths of realization.
Joe and I talk a lot about discovering the opportunities for growth everywhere in this conversation. One thing I really enjoy about the way Joe communicates is that he provides very concrete examples to ground the teachings into practical living.
Highlights of the episode for me were:
Why making life and business spiritual practice is so compelling
How you can think about creating a container in the business world that fosters spiritual growth
Why many companies fail at creating thriving businesses that help employees grow
The power of letting go of trying
How he thinks about the Art of Accomplishment as a platform for change and empowerment
I was so captivated by my conversation with Joe I ended up taking the Art of Accomplishment Connections Course. It was a great experience that showed me many of my blind spots that show up when I am in relationship with others.
Joe’s next learning experience is the Great Decision Course which puts emotional awareness at the forefront of decision making. The course is open for enrollment now and anyone you can get 20% off if you sign up through this link using code (SBAF241 ). The only reason I a not taking this cohort myself is that I just got to Costa Rica for the next 2 months and want to keep open space to be present in a new place.
Joe and Brett Kistler have an awesome podcast where they go into greater depths on these ideas. I encourage you to check that out as well as some of their free experiences if this conversation was interesting to you.
I hope you enjoy it!
