“The nervous system of the organization reflects the nervous system of the CEO or leader.”
When today’s guest shared this quote with me, the truth behind it almost knocked me off my seat!
At one point inner work felt like some nebulous nice to have in the business world.
This narrative seems to be changing big time.
Increasingly, cultivating attributes like emotional fluidity, somatic intelligence and awareness are becoming a competitive advantage.
If you want to perform at your best and amplify the people around you, this type of work needs to be a priority.
Today’s guest Franziska Gonder coaches higher performing founders, CEOs, and investors on how to become embodied leaders so they can reach their full potential.
The ways leaders have traditionally operated have gotten us thus far. I think many of us can agree, that we need to evolve the way we do things if we want to move towards a more prosperous and harmonious world. And this leadership often starts at the top.
In our conversation, we explore how leaders can make this shift by working on themselves from the inside out. As part of this, we discuss how you can increase your nervous system capacity while continuously aligning yourself to the work you should be doing. Both Franzi and I believe that attuning to our bodies can be an incredibly powerful compass to aid this process.
Continuously investing in our inner work isn’t just about being less stressed. It’s also about expanding our emotional capacity for all the good stuff. Humans have a funny tendency to restrict access to joy, fun, and bliss states. We explore this relationship between emotional intelligence and increasing both the range & depth of what we feel.
Other interesting points:
How you can bring somatic awareness to your daily life
Why leadership can be a gradual unfolding process
How we can bring emotional intelligence principles into our parenting
Why consciousness work is so high leverage for leaders
Some ideas around what leaders of the future look like
I had a great time geeking out with Franzi on what the future of leadership looks like. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much ad I did!
