Just so people have more information about who Teal Swan actually is https://www.conspirituality.net/episodes/brief-teal-swans-satanic-panic-to-anti-woke

Hi Guy, how are you? I think what matters is the message more than the person sharing it right? I take her message as follows: let's take responsibility for our wounds and heal them, allow our emotions to flow through us as "energy in motions" and to be transformed, let's cut cords with our ancestral patterns before we go on having children and let's focus on sharing the gifts. Instead of perpetuating the same story throughout cycles of history, both at a personal and collective level, we can take responsibility and instead of letting hurt engender more hurt, we can cocreate a better future from a place of love together. We definitely need the whole spectrum of opinions and life visions :) so I'd love to hear yours.

My opinion is that people need to be careful of cult leaders. Listen to all the content about her on that podcast and tell me you don't think she fits into that category. A lot of cult leaders have said very wise things, Adi Da, Osho, Andrew Cohen, as just a few examples, but they invalidate their message by their actions in the world. It does matter, IMO, who the messenger is.

To be honest I don't want to make this conversation about politics but I do see specific politicians or even businessmen as cult leaders... If we get back to the subject as she is not the only one to talk about this, what is your opinion on ancestral healing and taking responsibility for not repeating ancestral patterns whilst honouring the gifts of one's lineage?

yeah I’m all for that. I just prefer to hear it from someone who is not a cult leader, that’s all. but YMMV

Strongly suggest you watch this series, just to back up the fact that I’m not completely deluded here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt19387554/

Hey Guy and Camile - just popping in here. I did not do a comprehensive background on Teal, but knew she was a controversial figure when I scheduled this. I learned a lot from this conversation and found it insightful, just like I have from other ppl mentioned like Osho - getting curious about their wisdom doesn't mean I follow them or condone everything they do.

As for Hulu's series, I didn't watch it. I'm sure there is some degree of truth, but Teal mentions how this was cut in countless ways to promote an agenda that isn't accurate. I didn't spend a lot of time looking into this, but have little faith in mainstream media these days to be objective. I just go by my instincts and direct experience of ppl which I know to many has limitations or may sound off, but i find it the most reliable compass to navigate the highly varied informationscape.

There's a whole podcast series, a whole Hulu tv series, some really in depth investigations from the Conspirituality podcast on Mary Bosworth ('Teal Swan'). Some of that could be called 'mainstream media', some is definitely not, just people trying to find out the truth.

None of it says she's not clever, none of it says she's not interesting, none of it says she has zero spiritual insight. But all of it alleges she's a grifter and is involved in coercive control of other people for her own benefit.

Of course she herself is going to deny it, what else is she going to say... 'oh yeah sure, you got me!'?

Maybe do some research before giving people like this a platform to promote their thing, which is what you're doing, if you're not researching, then questioning them like a journalist.

Still it's not too late to check it out now and make up your own mind. This podcast is a good intro https://alittlebitculty.com/episode/bigger-than-the-pope-jennings-brown-on-teal-swan-the-fellowship-of-friends-part-1
