Could you say more about the repatterning protocol? That seems to be part two of the freedom log but I don’t know what it is.

Sure. It is covered in depth in my book. If you don't want to read that, this is prob the best free resource I have https://blog.scottbritton.me/p/how-to-release-and-transform-the

So happy to find you here. Our teacher taught us that true freedom is being free to experience whatever comes up in our way today. And that conflict, struggle and resistance is what ages us and makes us sick. I’ve learned to recognize the feeling of resisting what is by the resulting tension in the solar plexus. This is my signal that there is something that needs to be looked at and attended to.Thank you for the work you are doing and sharing.

Thanks Paul. Such a simlpe teaching, but it is so profound when integrated into everyday life. I feel the tension in the same place. Amazing how refined your ability to notice it can become over time

That’s a beautiful shift from chasing enlightenment to catching yourself mid-tantrum. Most people want transcendence without traffic jams. But this practice turns the red light into a monastery bell. Every irritation becomes a teacher clearing its throat. Freedom isn’t floating above your reactions; it’s recognizing them before they finish the sentence.

very good. very much reminds me of 10th step in a 12 step program. there is a famous line in AA, the spiritual axiom, that says every time we are disturbed there is something the matter with me. Step 10 talks about not fighting anyone or anything... about radical acceptance. The re patterning term you use is I guess what happens to people as they change their consciousness and evolve and sad drunks/addicts into extremely productive loving individuals. Interesting how much of your stuff aligns with that stuff... all extremely non institutional spirituality practices.

Wow fascinating. Didn’t know that about the 12 step program, but know it has a deeply spiritual connotation. Amazing to see how this stuff applies to such a wide array of transformation, including addiction

SO GOOD!

Received a download several months ago in these words: "RESIST No-THING!"

Have been living with the unfolding of this wisdom ever since. Thanks for being a light of confirmation on my Journey.

Peace!

Just finished the book! It is both very practical and inspirational. Written with a lot of clarity which makes it easily accessible even if you are new to spiritual work. Myself being a founder and entrepreneur I can really relate to the felt opposites of achieving and inner relaxation. This book shows how that does not have to be an either/or but a both/and. Well done Scott!

thanks so much Pelle! The perceived dichotomy is so real and indoctrinated into us. Love meeting others on the path of holding both : ) The world needs it right now

I have chronic pain in my right hand and can't easily use my phone right now. Btw the cosmic irony of me getting disconnected from my phone is not lost on me. I'd like to do this practice but curious if you've found a really minimal voice recorder that works well? If not, I kind of want to just vibe code one haha. This practice is also very aligned with something I'm doing with Brian too btw

I like the Noted app, which I use mainly on my Apple Watch as a part of an endless project to limit exposure to the hypnotizing influence of my phone.

I find the phone—especially infinite scroll apps like Substack that my autopilot self will open whenever I am holding it, no matter what initially caused me to pick it up—intentionally creates and reinforces some of the exact patterns that the Freedom Log aims to address.

I don’t think this is a criticism though: that just means more grist for the mill when it comes to this practice, not really a downside or contradiction inherent in using your phone to develop more free will.

Anyway, link: (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/noted-record-ai-transcribe/id1149425482). It will transcribe your notes pretty reliably with AI if you pay for it too.

Thanks for getting this app on my radar. I’ve never had an Apple Watch but could see this being a really cool application. My hack for minimizing phone stuff is I just always have it in airplane mode after educating myself on EMFs. Over time this made me less interested in going on it or really using it for much

It's also voice because I generally can't handwrite atm either. Can only type at a keyboard or use voice

Thanks man! Love seeing it overlap with Brian’s work and not surprised given how much he integrates stuff into everyday life. I’ve tried using a Claude project with voice for this, but didn’t like it as much as the iPhone note due to its lack of persistence and checkbox feel

I understand why you want to acquire paid subscribers, but to have *five* "upgrade to paid" exhortations in a single email is over the top, don't you think?

Those appear as subscriber boxes to me. I didn’t even know they tried to make ppl upgrade to paid if they already subscribed
