Oxytocin is huge - that's why studies have shown children experience higher levels of cortisol when texting their parents, vs calling them and hearing their voice, which produces higher levels of oxytocin.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful guest Scott!

Ive been using my voice in breathwork ceremonies recently following the very intuitive sounds that are coming out and it’s been highly activating for the recipient of the breathwork… my voice is a powerful portal in meditation already and I was amazed to witness the potency whilst singing even though I don’t consider myself a « good » singer it’s a different sound… it’s a frequency and vibration… 🌀

This is great!

I’ve been using vocalization in my bodywork sessions for years now, having people exhale with a sounding vibration in the back of their throat after a very long and slow inhale.

Their breath becomes like a slow pendulum, pausing at the top and bottom, and releasing whatever it is their bodies want / need to communicate.

I’ve been with people who’ve wept or screamed in this process, ending the session having purged old, stuck energy without needing to remember a thing about what happened in their past.

And even if they don’t have anything huge come up on the table, just spending an hour breathing and sounding is deeply nourishing. The vibrational breath activates the vagus nerve, shifting the neurochemistry of the body into a relaxed and connected state.

After 30 year a studying different healing & transformational modalities, I find this way of working with trauma and stress far more immediately impactful than the mind-based modalities..
