I love how you are able to organize your thoughts/highlights from books you've read to be easily accessible -- are you willing to share the app you use or did you create your own system? Thanks!
Great post Scott. Such great work/seva that you’re doing!
However, I respectfully disagree with your statement that “99% of the people going through spiritual transformation can’t talk to 99% of the people they know about it”.
My experience over the last 20 plus years of living a deeply spiritual life and having conversations with friends and family members of wide Socio-economic-political-religious belief systems has been closer to 40% are open to discussing their spiritual transformations.
I believe people are generally open and “bio-available” for conversations about their spirituality (when approached slowly, lovingly and very mindfully) because we’re all fundamentally spiritual beings underneath the surface layers of all the various belief systems that are not as fundamental to our lives.
Please let’s tell a new, more optimistic story collectively so that we manifest more open, honest, authentic connections with as many people as possible. Regardless of politics or religion or other ideologies.
Thank you and everyone spreading inspiration, love and light during this difficult time humanity is experiencing.
Good stuff, Scott. Waiting to get back on my feet - job, but will support you in time. I think you're on to something!
I've been an avid reader of all the same material, since the mid-80s. And, I'm happy to say, I have finally found my home. In Advaita Vedanta and various aspects of Hinduism. Although, I don't consider myself Hindu. The Gita and Upanishads are wonderful ancient scriptures and text. Swami Sarvapryananda is the best in conveying all of this to the western mind. He can be found on Youtube.
New Stuff: Community, 100+ Book Spiritual Library, & Guided Practice + Meditations
I think this is a wonderful idea! I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes . thank you
