Hey Scott - do you have any suggestions on where to look for an ayahuasca retreat? I know you've mentioned doing several, but for instance Jack's website's link to retreats is broken. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
If you believe in evolution as the force behind the emergence of new, and hopefully "improved," species, then the step forward for us humans is to put this magical gift of consciousness to good use. As you point out in your post, it means bringing mindfulness, or meaning, if you will, to your daily activities. It doesn't matter what you do; as Camus points out, the important thing is to do it with passion. Happiness will follow; don't go looking for it. Unless we shift from a mode of thoughtless consumption and planetary destruction to a creative, contributory economic model, we will not make the next step in the Darwinian struggle. Nature, we must remember, couldn't care less which choice we make; it will prevail, regardless. Thanks for sharing this post, Scott.
I agree with you Arjun. The evolution of consciousness and evolution of our species towards this more unified, harmonious state are one in the same in my opinion. Hopefully we can accelerate in that direction!
Love this! I have been torn for years between earning a paycheck and giving of my spiritual gifts!
Hoping you find a way increasingly towards both/and!
