There have been many big shifts in my life over the past 5 years.
Without a doubt, one of the biggest ones has been moving away from a militant allegiance towards logic and reason, into a more inclusive paradigm that incorporates and prioritizes intuition.
The more I’ve learned to recognize, trust, and act on my intuition, the better my life seems to get. The verifiable evidence of my own experimentations is what compelled me to see who else out there seemed to be aware of this sacred gift. It was in this exploration that I discovered the work of Theresa Cheung and her latest book: Empower Your Inner Psychic: How to harness your intuition and manifest your dream life. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and wanted to have a conversation with her which is today’s episode : )
The word pyschic immediately turns a lot of people off. But if you’ve ever had an intuitive knowing about something that later came true or followed a hunch that led you in the right direction, you are basically accessing this innate psychic power that lives within all of us.
Why shouldn’t we embrace and explore this vs. dismiss it? It seems silly to me to close off to a more expanded reality.
I really enjoyed Theresa’s book because it integrates all the most emergent science on intuition and extra-sensory perception. Many of the most accomplished beings have cited the power of these innate gifts and it’s nice to see that science is finally starting to substantiate what many people have already known experientially.
In this conversation, we touch on a lot of this literature, historical examples, and how intuition emerges. One thing that is very congruent with my own experience that Theresa touches upon is how self-awareness and inner healing go hand in hand with the emergence of intuition.
I think this is an important point. A lot of people shy away from this inner work, thinking that it will make them soft. What if instead, you saw it as a massive unlock to tapping into a more expanded and meaningful reality that actually enhanced your ability to create in the world? 🙋♂️
Some other things we get into:
How the rational mind and intuition work together
Mediation and intuition
Shadow work’s role in intuitive guidance
Why more people aren’t aware of this amazing gift
When do we think all of this is going to go mainstream?
Intuition is something I am deeply passionate about and Theresa is one of the most well-versed thought leaders I have come across on the topic.
I hope you enjoy this episode and encourage you to check out her work!
If you are interested in improving your intuitive abilities, I am teaching a 5-week training program called Guided on cultivating the emergent wisdom we describe in this episode starting 5/31. You can find more details here.
